Giving Back

Give Warmth Project

From the get-go, we knew we always wanted to be able to give back to the community we love so much. Our home base. Cleveland. We truly believe that whether it’s small or large-scale, each and every positive act can make a difference and holds the power to transform lives. A friendly smile to a stranger could make their week. What could be just another beanie for one person could mean a whole lot more to another. And indirectly, one good act can spark a domino effect of community action and more people getting involved in positive change.

Our family-owned factory is located in Midtown, east of Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. We’re situated less than a mile from The City Mission, a homeless organization that serves over 275 people every day and who has been part of the community fabric since 1910. We are proud to partner with our Carnegie Avenue neighbors for the Give Warmth Project.

We learned that during the winter months, shelters seek donations for cold-weather accessories due to the high demand and harsh Cleveland winters. In our factory, we not only manufacture baseball caps but also produce high-quality knit hats. The fabric for our knits is spun in-house and stuffed with 3M Thinsulate™ Insulation for added protection against the elements. Our beanies give an incredible degree of warmth, and we want to put them on the heads of those who need them the most.

In an effort to give to Cleveland’s homeless population, we are debuting our Buy One, Give One model for every knit hat that we sell. With every Legend Knit purchase, we will donate one to The City Mission.

Our goal is to give as many knit hats as we can. And whether that’s 1, 100, or 10,000 — each one holds the potential to support someone’s well-being. New items, clothing and accessories are rarer donations but critically important to the organization’s mission of empowering the men, women and children experiencing homelessness in Cleveland.

We believe small things can make a big difference. Help us Give Warmth to Cleveland.
